Planning ahead = less stress. Who'd have thought?

It has always been my desire to have my family eat together around the kitchen table. This hasn't really been an issue because my kids are still small and not involved with a ton of activities yet. It is also my desire that my family eat healthy foods that I prepare. I don't want to spend time wondering what to fix for dinner every night and I want to save money. I've got to have a plan!

Today at MOPS, our guest speaker, Julie Sheldrup, talked to us about meal planning. She was very animated, obviously compassionate about the topic and so much fun to listen to. Of course, she was talking about one of my favorite things...FOOD! She introduced some basic ideas for planning meals, budgeting, and grocery shopping. She had some good ideas, helpful hints & fun recipes. Check out her website and blog!

That sounds like a great mops idea! My friends have been doing dinner ideas on their blogs as well. They pick out dinners for month put it on the fridge and the ingredients they need on the back so they can do their grocery shopping. I think I am going to try it. Here is blog if you want to see what I am talking about.
